The National Keystone Conference is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier teen conference. This year the conference celebrated it’s 50th anniversary in Chicago. IL! The theme of this year’s conference is “Activate Your Legacy,” showing teens how they can develop and enhance leadership skills enabling participants to be leaders and ambassadors in their Clubs and communities. The first Keystone conference, in 1967, also took place in Chicago.The conference provides Keystoners with positive opportunities to engage and socialize with peers, explore teen issues relevant to their lives, and develop skills to support and enhance service and leadership efforts in their Clubs and communities. This unique leadership development experience provides opportunities for young people ages 14 to 18. Youth participate, both in and out of the Club, in activities in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation and community service. With the guidance of an adult advisor, Keystone Clubs aim to have a positive impact on members, the Club and community.
More than 2,500 teen leaders from around the country convened in Chicago for Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s 50th annual Keystone Conference presented by Aaron’s, Inc.
